- ON Streptococcus suis BACTERIA -

UNDERSTANDING THE WORLD OF BACTERIA

Dominic Dolbec, a PhD student working with Dr. Mariela Segura, organized a popularization workshop at a secondary school to educate the public about pathogenic bacteria capable of zoonoses, such as Streptococcus suis, and their interactions with the host and the immune system. 2019.

PINT OF SCIENCE SAINT-HYACINTHE 2019

As part of the international popularization event Pint of Science, nour researchers, Drs. Mariela Segura, Hélène Carabin, and Christopher Fernandez-Prada, along with Jonathan Massé, a PhD student, presented their research projects in a fun and relaxed manner, all while enjoying a beer! May 2019.

 Additionally, GREMIP was represented in the organizing committee, thanks to Marêva Bleuzé and Noélie Douanne, PhD students, and Dr. Aida Minguez-Menendez, a postdoctoral intern.

ACTIVITY IN A PRIMARY SCHOOL

To raise awareness about infectious diseases among students in a primary school in Saint-Hyacinthe. May 2018.

PARASITISM IN SHEEP

Pr Christopher Fernandez-Prada, in collaboration with the MAPAQ and CEPOQ, is involved in the development of six technical fact sheets on parasitism in sheep. He presented them to small ruminant producers and veterinarians during an information meeting in St. Louis de Blandford. March 2018.
